I was honored to kick off my 2019 wedding season celebrating with Stefanie and David. They had a stunning April wedding full of all the pretty of spring. When you start scrolling and fall in love with the spring toned florals, know that Stefanie’s father and brother did all of the bouquets and arrangements! So, The Flower Market gets a special shout out.
We really thought we were going to have to dodge the rain this day, but turned out to be a PERFECT day. Taylor, RJ and myself trekked around Oakland and Southside for their engagement photos. We started at the iconic CMU columns, made our way to Panther Hollow and ended on the Hot Metal Bridg
I always know it’s going to be a good day when I get to start photographing at the Westin. The rooms are big and bright, which is perfect for getting ready. Photographing Lauren and her girls there was a blast. Everyone chatted excitedly and got into their gorgeous gowns. One of my favorite moments on a wedding day is when the bride first reveals herself all dressed. I love the shots of Lauren’s Dad seeing her for the first time as a bride!
Michelle and Jameson celebrated their wedding at the Longue Vue Club in Verona, one of my favorite venues around Pittsburgh. They really used everything the club has to offer, like beautiful spaces to get ready in, the stunning property and the bright reception space. The guys were even able to get in a quick golf game in the morning.
Their love started at a farmers market. Brett was running a stand there (he founded the Pittsburgh Urban Garden Project - check it out!) and Daniela was visiting the market. You can see why there was an immediate attraction. Just look at them. Their relationship really started to grow after they realized how much they both adore traveling.
Mara and Dom have the sweetest love story. They were new neighbors and one day caught each others attention. After not saying a word to each other the first time they met (because, duh, butterflies) Mara decided to make the first move. She slide a note under Dom’s door asking if he wanted to be friends and the rest is history.
Emily and Ian met in high school and have been together ever since. They are big fans of traveling and visiting National Parks, so naturally the proposal was going to happen in an impressive place. I’m sure it was perfect when Ian got down on one knee on that hill overlooking the Pacific.
